ANALYZING DATA
Analysis comes after the collection of qualitative data. It is the process that helps you to make claims and provide proof to the arguments about your research question(s).
But it can’t be done without proper organization of the collected data for the following reasons:
-
Collected data needs to be transformed into findings, and findings are then further analyzed
-
Don’t expect your informants to answer your research questions directly and fully, simply presenting the findings or interview transcripts won’t be meaningful
-
Your readers may not be experts in your research area, so you need to make your work clear and logically for understanding
-
Contextualization is needed to incorporate the theoretical framework or have a dialogue with the theoretical literature
